There are two (probably dozens if I want to give myself a headache) things I wish were options in the cc scripts.

#1 The option to carry unused upgrade ads over to the next month. 

#2  The option to "reload" or extend an existing ad with my earnings instead of having to resubmit.

Given my feeble knowledge I would say option #1 should not be too difficult to code into the Ad Manager plugin. Rather than clear the admgr_upgrades table and reload it with each upgraded member's entitlements then append the new month's entitlements onto any remaining. To me the database structure allows for that possibility. It could be a checkbox in the general settings to do either or.

Option #2 should also be possible but not sure how difficult it would be to code. I daresay it would also be looked on favorably by POs as it removes a portion of their workload as well as making it easier for the member to spend their money

Option #1:  This could look awkward from the member area, it may not even be feasible, but for a time limited upgrade, maybe all the pre-purchased ads could be available in the member's area in one lump to use at leisure. Then only the non ad perks like random referrals and upgrade PTP access expire. 

It would make it easier for members who take vacation times or have computer issues that prevent them from getting online.

I don't see any trouble with option number 1 if a PO can put a little work in extra. Would not need extra coding in my opinion.
Been doing it that way at AMMFY from the beginning - if no ad at all was submitted in a particular month, the length is extended by one month. However if one ad is submitted, it is not extending (as it would be very hard to keep track of this). I keep a list with all the members holding annual adpackages and at the beginning of a new month I go through my ad-order emails from the previous month and see who submitted ads and then add a count to their name.
Very simple IMHO. Plus fair as far as I am concerned as a person pays for 12 months worth of ads and it shouldn't been taken as a donation just because someone is not able to submit their ads for whatever reasons.

Well, those were my 2 Cents for the weekend.
